Building a successful pawTree business is about
building relationships with conversations.
Â
In-person conversations allow you to build genuine relationships, while social media conversations provide a vast platform to connect with pet owners worldwide. Remember, the key is ongoing conversations. Engage with your audience, share experiences, and create a community centered around the well-being of pets.
Let's delve into a 3-step conversation process that can propel you toward your income goals and create lasting connections and customers for life. These steps are like making a new friend, helping them with something they care about, and then inviting them to join you in something fun!

Let's delve into a 3-step conversation process that can propel you toward your income goals and create lasting connections and customers for life. These steps are like making a new friend, helping them with something they care about, and inviting them to join you in something fun!
Â
Step 1:
Connecting Conversations
The foundation of customer gathering begins with authentic and meaningful conversations. Think of this as "Making New Friends." It's when you start talking to people about how much you love pets, just like starting a conversation with someone you want to be friends with because you both like the same video game or sport.
Engage with people who share a love for their pets. This isn't just about one or two conversations – it's about creating a network of connections. Whether in-person or through social media, initiate and sustain conversations about pets.
 In Person:Â
- Meeting people as you do life
- Networking events
- Vendor events
Â
Social Media:
- Post questions that help you meet new people with petsÂ
- Engage with the comments left on your post
- Move the conversations into private messages to build the relationship
Â
Step 2:
Guiding Conversations
Once the conversation is flowing, it's time to guide pet owners toward solutions that pawTree can offer.  This is like "Helping a Friend." After you've made a new friend and you're talking about pets, you help them see how they can make their pets happier and healthier, kind of like when you teach a friend how to play a new game or give them tips on how to be better at a sport.
The Pet Profile
Use the Pet Profile as an invaluable tool in this step. Encourage pet owners to complete the profile, enabling you to understand their pets' unique needs, preferences, and potential health concerns.
Â
"I’d love to walk you through our pet nutrition survey to see what it might recommend for your pet. When would be a good time to do that together? It only takes a few minutes."Â
As a petPro, you don't have to be an expert on pawTree's products and solutions. The Pet Profile tailors product recommendations based on the information gathered. Whether it's addressing specific dietary requirements, health concerns, or preferences, positioning pawTree as a personalized solution enhances its appeal.
Videos
Product-specific videos are helpful guiding tools as well. You’ll find a variety of educational and product marketing videos in your petPro library or pawTree APP ready for sharing.
 In Person:Â
- As you connect with a new prospect, listen for clues of things you can help them with.
- Move the conversation into a guiding flow - ask them to take a look at a video and/or complete a Pet Profile.
Social Media:Â
- As you connect with a new prospect commenting on a connecting post, respond with questions about their pets.
- Move your conversations to messaging so you can engage in a deeper guiding conversation.
Step 3:
Inviting Conversations [save money or make money]
Imagine this as "Inviting Your Friend to Play." Once you've helped your friend see how they can make their pets happier, you invite them to try some cool pet stuff, like inviting a friend over to play a new video game or join a team sport with you.
Once your prospects are ready to try the products recommended, you can let them know they have 2 choices:
Â
OPTION ONE
Become a customer and save money on their first order with a New Customer discount code.
“I have a code that will give a discount on your first order. It’s only good on this order, so be sure to try a variety of things and save at the same time. Everything comes with a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if it doesn’t meet your expectations, we’ll get you a refund! Let me know if you’d like the code.”Â
You’ll find current new customer offer codes here. Share the codes with people who are ready to start trying pawTree solutions.
Using the product recommendations shared by the Pet Profile, emphasize the potential for additional savings when they explore more of pawTree's full suite of solutions and nutrition plans. This also sets the stage for repeat business. Grab more new customer acquisition tips here.Â
OPTION TWO
Become a petPro and start earning money doing what I do – talk with people who love pets!
“If you already love talking with people about pets, you may want to consider earning an extra $300-$500 a month as a pawTree affiliate. It’s easy to start, and I can guide you on how to start earning right away.”
Repeat for Success: Consistency is Key
The effectiveness of this 3-step process is amplified when repeated consistently. Understandably, not every interaction will result in an immediate sale, but the cumulative impact of ongoing conversations, guiding customers to solutions, and offering discounts will steadily build a loyal customer base.
Positivity, confidence, and persistence are key in life, so never give up on yourself.
