Why Define Your Business Type?
It's important to us that everyone knows they have a place and a path for success as a pawTree petPro. We understand that being a petPro is NOT a one-size-fits-all business.
Being a petPro with pawTree offers 3 types of business paths:
- The Seller
- The Builder
- Leader / Guide
Each business type will deliver different income results, but it’s up to you to decide which path fits your preferred approach to earning an income. Let’s take a look at each of the 3 business types and then you can determine what approach serves you best based on defined activities and income goals.
The Seller
The Seller is 100% focused on earning an income by sharing the pawTree products and guiding pet parents to solutions that will serve them well. Adding other petPros to their business isn’t of interest to them.
Entry-level income goals for a Seller is typically $300-$500 a month. The Seller may want to reach that goal in their first month, or they may be content building up to it over a few months.
A Seller gains confidence and reaches income goals using the 3-step process for building relationships with conversations.
Often, when a Seller has experienced consistent success, they are inclined to start sharing the business possibilities with others. At this time, a Seller business type will migrate to a Builder business type.

The Builder
The Builder is open to earning an income by sharing the pawTree products AND the business opportunity. They're excited about:
- Guiding pet parents to solutions that will serve their pets well
- Guiding people to income solutions that could serve them well
A Builder uses conversations to grow a strong recurring customer base of EZ Ship customers and a team of new petPros with a goal to advance to new career titles along the way.
Entry-level income goals for a Builder are typically around $500 a month with a goal to build to income levels of $1,000 or more a month.
Often, when a Builder has promoted to VP and learned to consistently grow their business with sales and sponsoring, they are inspired to see their pawTree business as something more than a side gig income source and they begin to explore what it might look like to build at a different level. The Builder business type will then migrate to a Leader / Guide business type.

The Leader & Guide
The Leader & Guide is ready to grow their income by sharing the pawTree products, sharing the business opportunity, and showing others how to build a pawTree business. They're excited about:
- Guiding pet parents to solutions that will serve their pets well
- Guiding people to a solution that could serve them well
- Guiding petPros who want more from their business
A Leader & Guide is the natural business progression from the Builder, and their income expectations have grown from a side gig income into a potential long-term solution to replace a current full-time income. The pace for reaching that income goal varies.
A Leader & Guide has developed a strong recurring customer base of EZ Ship customers and, as a Builder, has built their business up to at least VP level or higher.
